Field Trip!

To escape the rain this morning, we took a family field trip to Ocean World in Crescent City.

I can’t believe we hadn’t taken the kids here yet. It was surprisingly very fun!

Before the tour started, the kids looked around the gift shop.

Of course they found a light saber there.

Our tour guide showed us sea stars and sea anemones.

We were the only customers there this morning, so we had the whole place to ourselves.

There were lots of fish, sharks, rays, and other animals in the tanks.

We got to pet some nice, small sharks.

… Posed for some pix in the shark mouth (Evie wasn’t too sure about it, though).

Then Cora the sea lion put on a show for us. She was very good and did everything the trainer asked her to do.

This seal just laid there like a lump.

Then we hit up Starbucks and came home! Super fun Saturday morning.

Snow Day

We woke up Monday morning to SNOW… an unusual site in this coastal town. There wasn’t much, but the kids explored in it anyway.
